The pain and trim that comes standard with the CLS is a strikingly beautiful two-tone designo paint or luxurious off gray leather. The interior boasts for individual seats, each for its own door. The entire car is divided by a consul down the middle. The leather and wood meld together intuitively to give you a complete feeling of ingenuity and innovation.

The leather seats are hand tailored, and you can choose each element of your interior - la carte or go with the beautiful factory standard. If you go for the designo paintwork, you can choose between modern matte or a deep gloss finish.

Technology

The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive is a Mercedes technology that continues to give drivers a masterful feel of the road. Torque is distributed in real time to the wheels that can best use it. On the CLS 63S, the Performance 4MATIC gives you more power than ever, all torqued into performance that is worthy of the Mercedes-Benz name.

You also get a four-wheel MultiLink suspension in the CLS 400, while the CLS 500 uses pressurized air to help smooth out the ride. In the top performing CLS 63S, the proprietary AMG RIDE CONTROL combines a steel spring front axle with rear air springs for the feel of a NASCAR vehicle in a luxury body.

Finally, an incredibly sleek 8 inch screen gives you clear menus to navigate all of your information and entertainment with surroundsound options.

Performance

The CLS line gives you a choice of three biturbo engines that each combine cleaner emissions with more power while using less fuel than ever. Depending on the CLS you choose, you will enjoy the following engine specifications:

• CLS 400 ? 329 hp V6
• CLS 550 ? 402 hp V8
• CLS 63 S ? 577 hp V8 AMG

The CLS line comes with a nine speed automatic, known as the 9G - TRONIC. This comes in the CLS 400 and the CLS 550. In the AMG, drivers can take advantage of a seven speed AMG multi-clutch technology that gives you even faster precision to keep your power on high levels during all high-performance maneuvers. Every CLS comes with standard shift paddles.

Safety

The CLS line gives you virtual eyes on the road at all times. The proprietary Intelligent Drive stereo cameras, radar sensors and collision provision technology give you automatic breaks and invasive maneuvers if there is a collision imminent. Even if the driver does not have time to react to outside stimuli, the patented ATTENTION ASSIST feature will help to identify the drowsiness and make compensation. Other options include special functions for cross traffic and quick reactions to pedestrians as well.
